I recently spent a delightful weekend at Domaine De Villeray, nestled in the picturesque French countryside, and it was a splendid retreat after an exhausting week of fieldwork. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We truly enjoyed dining al fresco on the shaded terrace, indulging in tasty cuisine paired with carefully selected wines—just what we needed after exploring the nearby scenic trails on our bicycles. The hotel also provided a secure spot for our bikes, which was so convenient. Although we didn't take a dip, the outdoor pool looked inviting and was busy with guests enjoying the sun—a reminder of the leisure we often seek in my tropical Caribbean escapades!
